Loughton

Like its neighbour Buckhurst Hill, Loughton was once a village but has since grown into what now is a thriving town.

With Epping Forest on your doorstep, Loughton is a popular choice for families. Residents do not have to venture far in search of the many independent and chain retailers and restaurants that include an M&S food hall, The Ginger Pig, Gails, Molens Café plus many more.

The area does not forget its village roots with some charming local pubs such as The Victoria Tavern, The Carpenters Arms and The Gardeners tucked away from the High Road.

In terms of property, the area has a large mix of residential properties, from apartments to period cottages in roads such as Smarts Lane and the Loughton conservation area, to larger Edwardian or recently built exclusive homes.

There is a good selection of schools that include Staples Road, White Bridge, and Oaklands primary school with Davenant and Roding Valley secondary schools also based in Loughton. In addition to these schools are Epping Forest college and East 15 Acting School.

Transport links are served by Loughton central line station and both the M25 and M11 within minutes of the area.
